Responsibilities

  • Define test requirements and perform AIT tests on payload hardware
  • Write test procedures, including automated test sequences
  • Monitor project phases (development, production, qualification, acceptance)
  • Execute field activities including setup and troubleshooting on RF/electrical systems
  • Analyse test results and write detailed test reports
  • Work in close interface with multidisciplinary teams (RF, avionics, thermal, accommodation, TCR)
  • Contribute to the AIT plan and customer interactions
  • Support continuous improvement and optimisation of production lines

Qualifications

  • Prepare and write RF test procedures (test plans, sequences, acceptance criteria)
  • Participate in the integration of RF equipment (antennas, amplifiers, transponders)
  • Configure and operate RF test benches (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, RF generators)
  • Perform functional and performance RF tests (gain, noise, power, bandwidth, linearity)
  • Conduct tests in constrained environments (thermal vacuum, EMC/EMI)
  • Analyse measurement data and identify anomalies
  • Propose and track corrective actions with design teams
  • Write test reports and document non‑conformities (NCR)
  • Participate in technical reviews (TRR, TRB, QR)
  • Provide support during test campaigns in clean‑room environments or on site

Desired skills

  • Engineering degree or Master’s level (Bac+5) in telecommunications, RF electronics, or microwave engineering
  • Knowledge of space standards (ECSS)
  • Proficiency with RF measurement instruments (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
  • Strong understanding of S‑parameter techniques, noise, intermodulation, NF, AM/AM, AM/PM
  • Experience in RF testing, ideally within the space, aerospace, or telecommunications sector
  • Knowledge of RF test equipment and operational best practices
